What is the best thing about your life right now?
The best part of my life is my support network, especially as it relates to Hannah’s health. It starts with Paul, who is at the center. My mom is amazing, my brothers always ask how they can help and my extended family's presence is always known. I have friends that I would do anything for and who would do anything for me. I am fortunate to have a wonderful job at Wells Fargo with a large network of current and past management, team members and friends who have supported our family through the last 4 years of Hannah’s health issues. I feel like the customers in the Verizon© commercials!
What’s the hardest thing about being a mom?
Having to tell Hannah that she needs some kind of medical intervention that I know will hurt or be uncomfortable or that she needs to miss an event because of a medical appointment. Serious medical issues or disabilities are heart-breaking to experience when they are imposed on your child.
What’s the best thing about being a mom?
The “unfiltered” opinions, questions and unique logic of a pre-teen.
What is your passion?
Besides Hannah, it's animals. I'm the one you see pulling over to help a turtle cross the road in the spring. My "no kill" policy includes bugs, spiders, mice, frogs etc. You name it, I'll save it!
What is your full-time job?
I manage technical consultants in a project management area within Wells Fargo. Paul says I "organize organized people."
What do you do to relax?
Paul would say that I don’t know how to relax, but grooming Hannah's horse, quilting, baking and enjoying the wildlife in our yard are things I find relaxing.
What is it like being married to Paul?
Paul and I often describe our marriage as a partnership – we take a team approach to everything and have a tremendous amount of respect for each other. We compliment each other's skills, especially when it comes to Hannah's medical issues. He is the front-man when we need the smoother approach to issue resolution. He is easy-going, handy, objective and an amazing father.
What do you think about Paul running for State Senate?
I think it's phenomenal and I support him 100%! Paul has a passion for making life better for everyone and I applaud him for that. It's exciting to see him on a bigger mission than in his past political journey where he can be more impactful. I want him to succeed because he will make a difference. I'm very proud of his compassion and dedication.
